These new works include; 'Five Steps', a series of monoprints (25x36cm) inspired by the BBC documentary "Five Steps to Tyranny". As a child seeing images of the holocast I was deeply disturbed and even as an adult simply couldn't understand how any human being could become so inhuman as to be part of this kind of mass murder. This documentary helped me to see how any of us can become tyrants through fear and the belief in 'otherness' and therefore that there is hope in the knowledge of the oneness of humanity. One of the new works I plan to produce this year is 'Seven Candles of Unity' based on the principles outlined by 'Abdu'l-Baha for peace. Other works included on this page are inspired by part of a Baha'i prayer; "The companions of all who adore Thee are the tears they shed...the food of them who haste to meet Thee is the fragments of their broken hearts."  Please do not download or copy images from this site without the permission of the artist.
